A Worshipful Christmas

A Worshipful Christmas was created to bring the celebration of Christmas into the same atmosphere of worship that has always defined Terry MacAlmon's music. Rather than making a collection of seasonal background songs, Terry built an album around the birth of Jesus and the response that His coming deserves: wonder, gratitude and worship.

The album combines familiar Christmas songs with original material. O Holy Night, Silent Night and O Come All Ye Faithful carry the beauty and history of traditional Christmas worship, while Our Humble King, Your Name, The Savior of the World and Little Baby Boy give the project its own voice. The medley O Come All Ye Faithful / I Sing Praises connects the Christmas story directly with one of Terry's best-known worship songs, turning the familiar carol into a personal response of praise.

The title track, A Worshipful Christmas, expresses the purpose of the entire album. Christmas can be filled with traditions, gatherings, gifts and music, but at the center stands Jesus Christ. The album continually brings the listener back to Him - the humble King, the Savior of the world and the One worthy of worship.

Musically, the project carries the warmth expected from a Christmas album without losing Terry's identity at the piano. The arrangements are reverent, melodic and designed to create an atmosphere in which families and individuals can celebrate Christ rather than simply listen to seasonal music.

A Worshipful Christmas is therefore both festive and devotional. It invites the listener to hear familiar songs again, discover new ones and allow the story of Christ's birth to become more than a memory. It becomes a reason to worship.
