You Are There

Everlasting Love captures Terry MacAlmon leading worship live in South Africa during a major concert in 2013. By this point his music had traveled through many nations, but each live recording carried the character of a new gathering. In South Africa, the songs were lifted by a fresh congregation and a new atmosphere of worship.

The album begins with an Overture before Glory and Honor and Let It Rise open the room in praise. Into Your Presence then changes the direction, drawing the worship inward. Worship Moments leaves room for the gathering to breathe, followed by I Love Your Presence and the title song Your Love Is Everlasting. Together they express the heart of the album: God's love is not temporary, fragile or dependent on circumstances. It endures.

The second half continues that movement. Lord I Worship You keeps the response personal, while You Are There speaks of God's nearness. The Weight of Your Glory and Surely the Presence bring the album back to the central theme that runs through so much of Terry's ministry: worship is meant to lead people into an awareness of God's presence. The bonus track To Live Is Christ closes the project with a final statement of devotion.

Everlasting Love is more than a concert recorded in another country. It is a picture of worship crossing borders. The songs may have been written and sung elsewhere before, but in South Africa they became the voice of the people gathered there that night. Terry's piano and leadership provide the direction, while the congregation gives the recording its living, local sound. The result is a warm and deeply worshipful chapter in his international ministry.
