Praise Him, written by Lynn DeShazo, sounds almost like a description of the kind of worship gathering Terry MacAlmon has always wanted to lead. The people have assembled to praise the One they love. They join the chorus of heaven, come before the throne of grace, seek the Father's face, listen for His voice and rejoice together. The congregation is not an audience in that picture. It is the worshipping body.
That is exactly why the song fits Terry's ministry so well. He has written strongly against a "sit back and let the platform do it" mentality in church. In his view, the people of God are the true worshippers. The role of the worship leader is to awaken the Bride, choose songs that help her respond, and then stay out of the way of the Holy Spirit. Praise Him gives the congregation an active role from the first line.
Terry has used the song in World Prayer Center worship and later included it on You're My Glory. It brings joyful corporate praise into a ministry often associated with intimate, extended worship. That balance is important. God's presence is not only encountered in quietness; there is also a biblical place for a gathered people lifting their voices together.
For Terry, Praise Him works because its energy still has a destination. The excitement does not terminate in the music. The people are assembled for Someone. Their voices join heaven's chorus, their attention turns toward the Father, and praise becomes another vehicle that carries the whole room toward His presence.

You're My Glory was recorded during the 2004 Pikes Peak Worship Festival and carries one of Terry MacAlmon's most personal album titles. Terry chose the name because of the truth behind it: through every changing circumstance, the Lord remains constant. He is the One who lifts the head, restores perspective and remains worthy of trust when everything else shifts.
That confession gives the entire album its center. Made Me Glad opens with strength and confidence, while Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus immediately brings the focus back to Christ. Praise Him and To See Your Face move between corporate praise and personal desire. Holy, Holy, Holy! lifts the worship toward God's holiness before Come Unto Me and In the Presence draw the listener into a quieter place.
Then comes You're My Glory. Rather than functioning only as a title track, the song becomes the statement toward which the worship has been moving: God Himself is the source of glory, security and strength. I Exalt Thee and I Surrender All, Lord complete that journey with exaltation and surrender.
The Pikes Peak Worship Festival brought together large numbers of worshipers, but You're My Glory never loses the intimacy of one heart speaking to God. That balance is central to Terry's ministry. A room may be full, the music may be large and the worship may rise with many voices, yet the deepest response remains personal. This album captures that beautifully. Its message is not about the size of the gathering or the success of a ministry. It is about the One who remains when every other source of confidence is stripped away: the Lord, his glory and the lifter of his head.
