He Came to Give Us Life

For the Lord Is Good began as one unforgettable night of worship at the World Prayer Center in Colorado Springs. In 2003 the gathering was captured on video and released as An Evening of Live Worship with Terry MacAlmon. It preserved the evening as it happened: Terry at the piano, a room full of worshipers, and a flow of praise that moved from celebration into deep intimacy with God.

The set opens with He Came to Give Us Life and the joyful title song For the Lord Is Good. Praise Him follows before the atmosphere turns toward the tenderness of Dwelling Places. From there the evening moves through several songs that became closely associated with Terry's ministry: Holy Are You Lord, So Beautiful and Even So. Shout to the Lord widens the sound again before You Deserve the Glory brings the worship to a powerful close.

For many years this project was known primarily through the DVD. The video traveled around the world and became one of the most loved visual documents of Terry's World Prayer Center years. More than two decades later, the recording was remastered and the audio was finally released as a stand- alone album, allowing the entire worship night to be experienced simply as music as well.

That long journey is part of what makes For the Lord Is Good special. A worship gathering captured in 2003 did not remain locked in its original format or generation. It found new life for listeners many years later. The setting is historic, but the heart of the evening remains simple and timeless: the Lord is good, He is worthy, and worship belongs to Him.
