Night Sounds: Liquid Love

NightSounds: Liquid Love reveals the most unhurried side of Terry MacAlmon's music. This was his first release of continuous soaking music: approximately ninety minutes of uninterrupted instrumental worship designed to create an atmosphere of peace, stillness and the presence of God.

There is no traditional track sequence and no pressure to follow a set of songs. The music flows as one long piece. Terry's piano moves gently through melodies and spontaneous moments, allowing the sound to remain in the background when needed and come forward when the listener chooses to engage more deeply. That makes the project unusually flexible. It was created for quiet times with the Lord, for prayer, for work during the day, for rest at night or simply to bring a peaceful atmosphere into the home.

The name Liquid Love fits the way the music moves. Nothing feels sharply divided. One phrase flows into another, giving the listener time to breathe, reflect and become still. Terry's desire for the project was that the Holy Spirit would bring the Father's peace as people listened and that the music would become an atmosphere of thanksgiving rather than just another album playing in the room.

Although Terry has recorded many powerful live worship projects, NightSounds shows that worship does not need a stage, a choir or thousands of voices. Sometimes one piano and an extended period of quiet can serve the heart in a completely different way.
